Shift Pattern 2 - finish Friday Sat & Sun
Responsibilities for the site in the main for the High Care department, however you will also over see the Low Risk, Despatch and Hygiene Functions - Most senior member of staff on the site for weekends.
My client manufactures a range of delicious chilled products for major retailers, they have won several major industry awards, demonstrating their commitment to innovation and product quality, and also they hold ‘Investors in People’ accreditation.
We now have an opportunity for an experienced Shift Production Manager to join them as part of their production management team. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager (who does not work weekends) This is a responsbile role for a Manager who will be number one on site during the weekend. You, with your colleagues will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day and longer-term activities of the factory.
This will involve accountability for attaining daily production plans whilst effectively managing materials in line with the business’s KPIs. Other key duties involve accountability for managing labour costs within all areas plus ensuring the required GMP principles are being followed.
In this role your success will be measured by your: -
• Management, training and development of Team Leaders and their teams to ensure optimum effectiveness
• Achievement of KPI’s in relation to production efficiencies, people, quality and profitability, through a continuous improvement approach
• Ensuring a safe working environment by taking a pro-active stance towards health & safety issues
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: - Previous experience within a chilled food environment.
• Commercial awareness and a strong commitment towards quality and customer service.
• A resilient, credible leadership style with the ability to inspire, coach and develop your team
• The ability to work, under pressure, on your own initiative and to ‘think outside the box’.
