An exciting opportunity has been released within this leading chilled foods producer. We are recruiting for a dynamic, credible leader who has experience in the short shelf life sector.

As part of their Senior production management team on Nights you will oversee and manage the Shift Managers in the High Care, Low Risk, Hygiene and Engineering functions.

Reporting to the Production Director and working a night shift pattern, you, with your staff will be instrumental in managing the site and longer-term activities of the departments. This will involve accountability for attaining daily production plans whilst effectively managing materials in line with the business’s KPIs.

Other key duties involve accountability for managing labour costs within all areas of the factory plus ensuring the required GMP principles are being followed.

In this role your success will be measured by your: -

• Management, training and development of Shift Managers and their teams to ensure optimum effectiveness • Achievement of KPI’s in relation to production efficiencies, people, quality and profitability, through a continuous improvement approach • Ensuring a safe working environment by taking a pro-active stance towards health & safety issues

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: -

• Experience in a management capacity within a chilled food environment. • Commercial awareness and a strong commitment towards quality and customer service. • A resilient, credible leadership style with the ability to inspire, coach and develop your team • The ability to work, under pressure, on your own initiative and to ‘think outside the box’.
