Exciting opportunity available wih my client a chilled, short shelf life, food producer who supplies the major retailers. Part of a large European group my client is experiencing a period of growth in capacity and so needs an accomplished Shift Manager to lead this challenging, busy department.

The Role:

To manage the designated area of the factory, liaising closely with other Shift Managers. Managing, coaching and developing Supervisors and other key staff. To ensure the timely delivery of the production plan for the Department at the right cost and quality. Managing resource allocation and optimisation, both for the immediate daily and weekly needs, also for the month and quarter ahead.

Responsible for the management of a team of 5 Supervisors, the shift Administrator and 2 Line Heads. This role will manage the daily and weekly requirements of production. Leading the Supervisors in the delivery of the production plan for the site, allocating resources as appropriate, in line with quality, food safety and Health and Safety requirements. Resolving or escalating any issues raised by the Supervisors in relation to the operation of the site. To communicate to the Supervisors and the Production Manager the achievements, monitoring and improvements on all KPIs, and customer service levels to ensure the maintenance of a safe working environment at all times.

To focus on CI and best practice ways of working to achieve greater efficiency in the site.
