Job Description
My client now has an opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager to join them as part of their production management team on their rotating shifts in their High Care area. (1 month of earlys and 1 month of lates)

Reporting to the Production Manager on Days and working a rotating shift pattern, you, with your colleagues will be instrumental in managing the shift and longer-term activities of the High Care department.

This will involve accountability for attaining daily production plans whilst effectively managing materials in line with the business’s KPIs.

Other key duties involve accountability for managing labour costs within all areas of High Care plus ensuring the required GMP principles are being followed.

In this role your success will be measured by your: -

• Management, training and development of Team Leaders and their teams to ensure optimum effectiveness • Achievement of KPI’s in relation to production efficiencies, people, quality and profitability, through a continuous improvement approach • Ensuring a safe working environment by taking a pro-active stance towards health & safety issues The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: - • At least two years experience in a management capacity within a chilled food environment. • Commercial awareness and a strong commitment towards quality and customer service. • A resilient, credible leadership style with the ability to inspire, coach and develop your team • The ability to work, under pressure, on your own initiative and to ‘think outside the box’.
