In this high profile role you will report to the Technical Manager and will deliver a robust QA function through the effective management of your team of Team Leaders and QA Auditors.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Implementation and management of factory systems and processes to ensure due diligence, including raw materials
• The resolution of technical and quality issues on the site
• Supplier audits
• Investigation of customer complaints, analysing findings and presenting solutions
• Provision of timely management information relating to microbiological results, customer complaints, taste panels, process issues and auditing
• Training and coaching others to improve the technical skill base within the business
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
• At least 2 years experience in a similar role within a chilled food environment
• A positive and resilient leadership style with the ability to build and motivate your team and promote and drive change in a fast moving business
• A strong technical background with a sound understanding of Microbiology, HACCP, development of Quality Manuals, traceability and the requirements of EFSIS / BRC standards
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to produce management reports
