•Reporting into the Night Shift Hygiene Manager, my client needs two experienced Hygiene Supervisors / Team leaders to join their busy weekend night shift.
•To have a full understanding of the cleaning systems, schedules and procedures throughout the factory combined with a full understanding of the equipment to ensure high standards are maintained.
•To have a key attention to detail.
•To be fully familiar with the appropriate health and safety procedures.
•To have a basic understanding of food microbiology.
•To have a good working relationship within the department and between departments to create team attitude.
•Check all cleaning utensils and equipment and ensure that they are cleaned on every shift and tidied away after use.
•Remove damaged equipment and request replacements via the Hygiene Manager.
•To ensure that the Low Care and Washroom areas are maintained to a high degree of cleanliness.
•To refill all chemical and consumable dispensers to appropriate levels.
•To carry out scheduled hygiene work under supervision by the Hygiene Manager and completing the relevant documentation.
•To carry out extra cleaning issues for visits and 3rd party audits to a high standard.
•To carry out post-engineering cleaning for any engineering work that breaches hygiene standards ensuring that the relevant documentation is completed.
•To ensure that the correct PPE is worn at all times when carrying out any hygiene work and that the PPE is in suitable condition, requesting replacements if necessary.
• To immediately report all potential hygiene and health & safety hazards and/or unsafe working practices to the Hygiene Manager
•To report all accidents to the First Aider on site and the Hygiene Manager and ensure that relevant documentation is completed
•To ensure that all waste removed from the factory areas is segregated and sent to its correct destination.
•To have a full understanding of the chemicals in use within the hygiene department, and recognise their scope of use
•To have a full understanding of the COSHH requirements and ensure compliance with the relevant assessments throughout the departments
