My client is seeking an experienced and competent HR Officer ideally from the Food Manufacturing sector. You will take on a stand alone role within a manufacturing facility that is growing, expanding and going through organisational change. Reporting into the Operations Director you will drive all HR activities for the production facitliy and provide a full 360 degree generalist HR serivce to the business. You will need to evidence and validate relevant experience at interview.





Principle purpose of job:



You will be the sole HR representitive on site. You will manage and drive all aspects of Personnel activity for my client, a successful Food Manufacturing company, and to manage the day to day activities of Human Resources; working with each department manager as appropriate.



Main tasks & responsibilities:

Recruitment – recruitment & selection, updating job descriptions and conducting interviews & assessment tests, referencing and ID validation.

Manage sickness and absence, advising management/line managers and co-ordinating /managing long term absence.

Providing advice and guidance to all employees on HR issues. Advising and setting up of company policies and procedures and practices are meeting legislation requirements and best practice models are being followed.

Undertaking generalist HR meetings – Disciplinary, grievances, inductions, and management meetings.

Managing and optimising the use of HR documentation.

Liaison with internal and external parties – Personnel/Employment Law Advisers, Employment Agencies & Job Centers.

Liaising with Finance regarding payroll information regarding payroll issues.

To manage all employee benefits including Pensions, Life Insurance and Healthcare including administration issues.

Supporting the business in relation to HR issues and organisational change



Qualifications & Experience

Experience within similar role ideally Food Manufacturing background

CIPD qualified or to degree standard
