  • We will if our knowledge allows, uncover the team structures, culture, personalities, retention rates, career progression information, business challenges and as much about the person interviewing you as possible - good chemistry in an interview is vital. For-warned is for-armed as they say!


It may seem basic but there are a list of requirements and expectations from you when attending interviews:


DO's.....

Your personal grooming and cleanliness should be impeccable.
Organise your clothing the day before.
Check you have read the job description before your interview.
Ensure you meet the requirements and you have a positive answer for any areas you do not
fully meet.
Research the company products, staff, culture, clients and competitors.
Ensure you know the correct name of your interviewer and job title.
Be sure you know the interview procedure.
View a map and plan your journey in advance, allowing for delayed trains and accidents. Have your CV, references and any additional information requested, to hand.
Read over your CV and make sure you know it back to front.
Focus on your achievements when asked interview questions and portray every response in a positive way.
Prepare example answers for any tricky questions you believe they may ask you.

DO NOT.....


Interrupt your interviewer and give a steady handshake when entering.
Do not, unless prompted ask what the salary/benefits will be if this is the first interview.        Don't make excuses. Take responsibility for your decisions and your actions in previous roles.
Don't make negative comments about previous employers.
A job search can be hard work and involve frustrations; don't exhibit frustrations or a negative attitude in an interview.
Do not allow your mobile to ring during your interview.
Do not chew gum or smell of smoke.
